In 2024, the 13th cycle of the mts app contest for the development of applications for mobile devices was completed with the presentation of the applications and the selection of the best five. The competition aims to encourage innovation in the field of mobile application development and includes secondary schools and grammar schools that operate according to a special programme for talented students in the field of mathematics, information science and computing of the Ministry of Education.

Through this competition and with the support and mentorship of the Company’s employees, Telekom Srbija provides a platform for the development of new digital solutions and applications that can improve the daily life of users and enrich the way they use mobile devices.

The competition is also the opportunity for secondary school students to demonstrate their creativity, as well as to connect with their peers from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro and familiarize themselves with their solutions, since the competition is organized according to the same rules in those countries. The winners from all the three countries meet at the next level of the competition, the Regional App Challenge, which was held in Belgrade in March 2024. The winners of the main prize at the Regional App Challenge had an opportunity to attend the conference in Barcelona, ​​as a veritable exhibition of creativity and design in the sphere of digital and visual arts. The winners of the special award for innovation – Power of innovation – Igor Osmokrović were presented with mobile handsets.

The mts app competition is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and so far 213 teams have presented as many as 220 applications. The competition was included in the selection of the renowned European organization CSR Europe, as an example of successful cooperation with young people.
