Through solidarity towards a more humane society

Good health is vital and essential for a healthy society. In contemporary society, human health and welfare are facing numerous challenges. Telekom Srbija recognizes its influence and responsibility, believing that investments in health care and social welfare may significantly contribute to the transformation of the community and improving the quality of life.

Through investments in projects in the sphere of health care, Telekom Srbija provided services for highly specialized health care institutions, while through donations it tries to influence improvement of institutional capacities and the quality of technical conditions. By granting donations, the company improved the work of the University Children’s Clinic, the Neonatology Institute, the Institute for Psychophysiological Disorders “Prof. dr Cvetko Brajović”, the Institute for the Health Care of Mother and Child “Dr Vukan Čupić” in Belgrade, as well as the Special Hospital for Psychiatric Diseases “Dr Slavoljub Bakalović” in Vršac.

Telekom Srbija offered support to activities of numerous institutions, associations and humanitarian organizations through pecuniary donations and the activation of humanitarian SMS numbers. By the support to the associations of parents and children who had experienced serious or chronic diseases, the company contributes to their better integration into everyday life and overcoming of differences.

Support for the implementation of the 12th summer camp in Zlatibor was provided to the “Friends in Need” organization, within which the participants had the chance to socialize, acquire new skills and advance in becoming independent.

For years now, Telekom Srbija has been supporting the work of the Alliance of Serbian Associations for Struggle against Diabetes, believing it is important to raise awareness about diabetes, as well as education about the ways people with diabetes can live a quality, active and fulfilled life, which was also the goal of the Youth Summer Camp in Kušići. The company also supported the implementation of the 12th camp “We Can Do It All”, the Association of Parents of Cancer-Stricken Children “Uncle Boca” from Belgrade. The camps showed that they were a beneficial environment for all children, especially for children who had fought cancer. The company also helped “BELhospice”, the first charity organization in Serbia offering palliative care services for oncological patients and children with incurable diseases.

With the help of Telekom Srbija, the “Helping Hand” Citizens’ Association organized a master workshop presenting occupational therapy for young people with disabilities. The workshop was launched with the aim of vocational training and work integration of young people, increasing their competences and self-confidence through work therapy and communication with their community and peers.

In cooperation with the “SOS Children’s Villages of Serbia” Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of children’s life, Telekom Srbija supported the “Green Smile” project. The implementation of this project contributed to enhancing and creating a healthier environment for children and employees at the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo.

At the ceremony of the Sports Alliance of Persons with Disabilities of Belgrade, we celebrated all their sports achievements, and the company had the honour to hand over recognitions to some of the best sportsmen, as a multiple winner of the Plaquette for Contribution to the Alliance’s Development.
